This $22 million, 105,000 sf. project was planned in two phases.
During the construction of this project, the entire building had to
remain online with the demands of laboratory research continuing.
Phase I: All four floors of Colburn Lab were extended
eastward toward Academy Street as well as to the south adding
additional space and a major utility service chase between the
existing building and the addition.
Phase II: The renovation and expansion of existing
laboratories and consolidation of faculty and administrative office
space.
