headquarters has a modular design, allowing SEI to change quickly.
The use of mobile furniture and open space support their
interdisciplinary teamwork approach to business.
All of the buildings’ mechanical, electrical, and
piping systems as well as structural steel members and indirect
lighting fixtures are exposed to view. This arrangement provided
some interesting challenges regarding the mechanical systems which
had to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing within the
style and design of the buildings’ structure.
