In 1986, Delcard Associates grew to
occupy a 12,000 square foot office and shop space and started a
sheet metal fabrication facility to enhance their piping
capabilities, one of their best decisions.
With a sheet metal facility they could control
their growth without relying on other sub contractors to do their
sheet metal fabrication and installation work.
In July 1992, they started their P-HVAC Service Department. This
enabled them to service the equipment they installed and maintain it
through its warranty period and life. This move led them to become a
"full service mechanical contractor".
In October 1994, Delcard Associates moved their operation to a
larger location. The site housed a 21,000 s.f. fully automated
sheet metal fabrication shop, five loading docks, twenty four office
spaces, a large conference/training room, a cafeteria, reception
area and vendor drawings area. In 1996, Delcard Associates expanded
to start fabricating pipe and plumbing work.
Continued growth has required Delcard to move yet again to an
even larger facility located in the New Castle Airport Industrial
Park. The new 61,000 sq. ft. headquarters houses a 40,000 sq.
ft. fully automated sheet metal and pipe fabrication shop.
Delcard Associates is considered the Wilmington market's #1
Mechanical Contractor, known for professionalism, quality and safe
construction practices. They are the contractor of choice for many
major local clients due to their commitment to "total quality".
Their original business plans have since tripled and they continue
to grow.
